Team 6-3

Mrs. Dillard- Math

Which of the 7 Habits do you connect with most, and why?

I connect most with Think Win-Win because I believe in finding solutions that benefit everyone- students, families, and colleagues. In the classroom, I create a supportive environment where students learn to collaborate, resolve conflicts respectfully, and understand that success is shared. This mindset builds trust, encourages teamwork, and helps everyone feel valued and empowered.

Ms. Jones- ELA

A little bit about yourself--where are you from? What do you like to do?

I was born and raised in Raleigh, NC, where I resided with my father, mother, and brother. I attended Winston-Salem State University and obtained my teaching degree. I enjoy naps, going to the movies with my boyfriend (Stone Theaters) and eating popcorn! I typically decompress by walking 2-3 miles a few times weekly while listening to podcasts.

Mrs. Dreier- Social Studies

Favorite thing about teaching or working at Sullivan?

My favorite thing about teaching at Sullivan is seeing the student's faces light up when they have that a-ha moment. The ability to assist them to see what their learning is relatable to real world. Hosting the culture club with Winthrop has been rewarding as well. It provides club participants an opportunity to collaborate with international student ambassadors from Winthrop.

Ms. Lemon- Science

How do you help students become leaders in their own learning?

To help students become leaders in their own learning, I focus on building their sense of ownership, confidence, and responsibility. I involve students in setting personal learning goals and encourage them to reflect regularly on their progress through journals or discussions.
