Meet The 7th Grade Team
Assistant Principal: Dr. Yamuel Sanchez-Perez

Hello! My name is Dr. Yamuel Perez-Sanchez, and I am excited to serve as the 7th-Grade Assistant Principal at Sullivan Middle. I am originally from Puerto Rico and am proud to call South Carolina home. With more than 20 years in education, I have been blessed to serve as a special education teacher, music teacher, administrator, and Fine Arts Program Director. I hold a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, master's degrees in educational management and special education, bachelor's degrees in elementary education and music, and an associate degree in management of music companies. Throughout my career, I have believed that leadership begins with listening, serving others, and building meaningful relationships. My goal is to support a school where every student feels valued, every family feels welcome, and every staff member feels supported, as we work together to help students reach their full potential.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and engaging in activities such as traveling, hiking, bicycling, camping, and watching movies and documentaries. Music has always been an important part of my life—I enjoy singing, playing guitar, and playing drums. I also had the opportunity to play volleyball in high school and college, an experience that deepened my appreciation for teamwork, perseverance, and encouraging others to succeed. I am honored to be part of the Sullivan Middle School family and look forward to partnering with our students, families, and staff to create an environment where everyone is challenged to grow, inspired to lead, and encouraged to make a positive difference in others' lives.
