A little about yourself?
I'm originally from Lancaster, SC but have been teaching in Brooklyn, NY for the past four years. I have my Middle Level Education degree from University of South Carolina, so Go Gamecocks!!! A fun fact about me is that I used to dance competitively for 13 years!
What’s one way you “sharpen the saw” and take care of yourself?
Music is a very big part of my life. I listen to music every single day and incorporate music into my classes. Not only is music a way for me to take care of myself but I can also connect with my students and maybe sharpen their saw too.
Ms. Alexa Kate Bagwell will be teaching 8th Grade Math. She is originally from Clinton, SC, and graduated with a degree in Middle Level Math Education from Winthrop University. She was recognized by the South Carolina Association for Middle Level Education as the 2026 Teacher Candidate to Watch for the state. In her free time, Ms. Bagwell enjoys serving at her church and hanging out with friends!
